I am Angie Hilbert and I’m a book worm… but a book worm that’s going places. Curling up with a good book is my favorite thing in the world but I get restless as an armchair traveler so I go out to have some of the adventures I read about. I’ve been from Anchorage AK to Angkor Wat and everywhere I go I seek out the Genius Loci, the Spirit of the Place.
My taste in literature is wildly eclectic but I keep returning to the weird. In addition to blogging at the WANDERLIT reader, I write my own fiction. My muse is a bad-ass-mother-of-sin so don’t ask me what I’m working on unless you’re prepared for some tender horror. My years as an operating room nurse in a level I trauma center gave me compassion and a sense of kinship for all the broken things staggering through the world bleeding on one another. I find beauty in their stories.
